A living weather system
Rain, storms and fog now roll in over about a minute. Ground, roofs and grass get wet, then dry out when the sky clears.

An island. A horde. Whatever you can carry.
Carriers is a single-player, open-world survival game set in the Carrier universe. You are on a large island after the outbreak, seen from above through a top-down survival camera.
Search town buildings and the dead for supplies. Fight with whatever you find, from a machete to a rifle to a bow. Ride across the island with a white wolf-dog at your heels, and deal with the survivors who got there before you.
It is early. Some of what you see on this page works today, and some of it is still being built. We will always say which is which.

Towns, farmland, open fields and a dark spruce forest across the snowy north, joined by long dirt roads. At its heart sits a walled capital that has been permanently under water since the outbreak.
Weather moves across all of it. Rain, storms and fog roll in over about a minute, and the ground, roofs and grass get wet, then dry out again when the sky clears.

Hold E to search cupboards, crates and lockers in town buildings, and pick through what the dead leave on the ground. Better finds glow in rarer colours.
Everything goes in a backpack you have to stop and open. Your survivor crouches while you sort it, and the world does not wait.

Hold Q to bring up the weapon wheel and pick from a bow, a blade, a sidearm, a rifle, a shotgun, grenades, knives or your fists, without leaving the action.
Swings stay locked in your hand, punches chain left and right, rifles fire from prone, and sprinting puts your gun away.

Cross the island on horseback with your HUD, minimap and weapon wheel still at hand, and the horse's gait and stamina on screen.
A white wolf-dog follows behind, waits while you climb, and comes back when you call.

Build a character from layered clothing, colours and height before you set out. Then save, and play as them.

Press B to open build mode, pick from a palette of over a thousand props, from vehicles and barricades to ivy and swamp reeds, and place them by hand.
Claiming a base and building it up with the people you recruit is next on the roadmap.

An honest snapshot. This is a game in development, and the list moves every week.
Seven phases, in order. No dates yet. We'd rather be late than wrong.
Tighten what works, fix what breaks.
Wash ashore and meet your first survivors.
Settlements with routines and allegiances.
Claim a base and recruit people to it.
Grow the island to around fifteen towns.
A fuller item list, sound and voices.
A proper menu, saving, and a build people can run.
